Collision Avoidance Systems
Transport accounts for 40% of all accidents in quarries and 60% of all deaths. It has been a priority for HSE for many years but until the industry addresses safe vehicle, safe workplace, competent driver and supervision it will not improve.
Transport Support has developed a number of collision avoidance systems to counteract this problem.
These are mainly fitted to large quarrying and mining vehicles such as the Caterpillar 740 and Volvo A40 (but can also be used with road going vehicles)
Our Collision Avoidance systems can be used to aid in vehicle maneuvering, to prevent vehicles entering dangerous areas, create invisible boundaries, and track vehicle movements.
