Transport Support Ltd. was founded in 2002 as a collaboration between Malcolm Taylor & GN Systems Ltd. Malcolm Taylor had gained excellent experience in his 21 years at Tarmac as Quarry Manger for their Clitheroe & Carnforth depots and had been assigned to the duty of reducing vehicle overturns. This task fell into line with Tarmac's drive for "zero tolerance" which was put into place to highlight & eliminate potential accidents. Malcolm Taylor led the project and was instrumental in the design & creation of the very first TS Inclinometer which was quickly accepted as a major step forward for Health & Safety. Transport Support became a division of G.N.Systems Ltd in 2006, a well established electronics manufacturer with many years experience in the design and development of electronic products. The TS Inclinometer was designed to provide drivers of tipper vehicles with a cost effective solution to the problem of vehicle overturns. It has been known for many years that the overturning of tipper vehicles has been a major problem within the transport industry and whilst health and safety guidelines have been issued, and tilt table test undertaken, it is still the driver at the end of the day who has full responsibility and control during the tipping process. Our Inclinometer systems are design to take the guesswork out of tipping and provide a clear indication of the vehicles angle before tipping takes place.
Transport Support has become recognised as one of the market leaders in the field of tipper safety and currently supplies the TS Inclinometer to most of the UK’s leading aggregate producer and haulers which include companies such as CEMEX, Hanson, Tarmac, Lafarge, Aggregate Industries, MQP, Hargreaves and Brett Aggregates.

In 2005 Transport Support launched the TSI2 Inclinometer system which has built on the success of our original Inclinometer and incorporated extra features which have been developed from customer feedback. The TSI2’s improved software gives the operator an even clearer picture of the vehicles angle and stability, with greater accuracy, improved response time, and clear warning messages. The new system has kept the familiar layout of the original and has been designed to be backward compatible with existing installations.
"I think it's amazing and that all tippers should have them fitted. When I reverse onto a site the TS Inclinometer instantly tells me if it is safe to tip."
